Probiomics Ltd is an Australian biotechnology company developing proprietary probiotic and biomolecular technology for commercial applications in consumer health, functional foods and pharmaceutical products.
Why the name Probiomics Ltd?
The Company coined the term "Probiomics" and defines it as the study of the molecules on probiotic bacteria which induce a biological response in the host. The Company decided to adopt this as its name to reflect the current focus of the Company's activities - development and commercialisation of products containing our proprietary probiotic strain (PCC®) for human health benefit, and discovery of novel biotherapeutic molecules from probiotics. |

The wellness industry is fuelled by the demand of the Western world’s mature and aging populations for products for health promotion, health maintenance, disease prevention, diagnostics, natural therapeutics, and healthy lifestyle.
Probiomics Ltd is a company in the forefront of the wellness industry via its innovativeapproach to its proprietary probiotic - PCC®. Probiotics (beneficial bacteria which promote good intestinal health, essential for general wellbeing) are well recognised as beneficial in dairy-based foods and drinks for promoting intestinal health. However,not all probiotic strains work. In a number of clinical trials, PCC® has shown exceptional clinical efficacy in a range of intestinal and immune disorders. On the basis of this data, Probiomics Ltd is commercialising PCC®-based products as OTC/dietary supplements, novel functional foods and innovative therapeutics.
